Ricco bites!

I THINK NOT!!!! Let's just start with a Big, FAT GGGggggrrrrr...... :) Today was a normal day for my family. This evening we had planned on attending our small town, Fourth of July fireworks event. We had a nice family dinner together and loaded everyone into the SUV and begin to travel happily on our way to town. In the car included my husband, two sons, and of course Mr. Ricco. We pull up to the curb and parked beside the sidewalk along with other cars. The boys are getting excited as they… Continue

We just adopoted a deaf GREAT DANE

Hey everyone. Just an update. We just adopted a great dane saturday. He's a 4 year old, blue-eyed, harlequin. And yes, he is deaf. He's about 125 lbs, small for a male dane. He is super smart because he is deaf he has no choice but to rely on his vision to communicate. He is house trained and responds to sign language for sit, stay, no, come commands. It's amazing. I grew up with Danes; for my parents bred them, but never experienced being around a deaf dane or a deaf dog of any kind for that ma… Continue

We have had problems with bedding too. He won't eat fleeces, but he tears up beds and comforters. He is getting better as he gets older though. maybe yours will realize the beds are good and not to be eaten

awesome, thanks for the tip. I've also noticed for the past two days that he's been eating/licking the grass. He also doesn't want to eat his food anymore. He wants to eat the Purina Kibbles and bits from my other dog. Is his stomach aggrivated bc he's licking the grass?

Well I will be there on Monday so I should see him. Usually if they are shedding bad adding safflower oil or fish oil to their food can really help, it helps their heart but also is wonderful for a good looking coat.
